Why am I standing?
I decided to stand to give the membership the decision for their Vice Chair.
The BCCD has never been stronger in its history, due to the vision of the Board, it’s two recent Chairs, our current CEO and a powerful membership that inspires growth, innovation and British business in one of the most dynamic regions on earth. In this election I intend to stand for the vice chair role, building on my four year term as a Director on the Administrative Board where I have played an active role with my colleagues in the success I describe.
When I came to Dubai ten years ago, I committed that I would do all I could to one day leave a legacy, inspired by those around me who made my welcome to the City one I will never forget; it was one of trust and empowerment and I was given everything I needed to succeed. Four years ago, I set up my own practice Oraculi, I work as a strategic advisor, non-executive director, market entry strategist (particularly for UK businesses) and transformational growth coach. After working within boardrooms of forty countries globally I now focus my work with high performance leaders, brands and companies in growth mode.
I do not underestimate the importance of the role at this critical time of continued growth and the need for an industry expert experienced Board. The BCCD is typical of my clients. Whether I am advising, mentoring, leading, coaching entrepreneurs to a global brand I am focusing on a dynamic future vision, working with them to achieve far more than their perceived levels of actualisation which is what we have done with the BBG, now the BCCD.
My global experience, my current portfolio of board roles across industries, the relationships I have actively built throughout the region, maintaining my UK network make my candidature for the vice chair role suitable. It would be my intention to continue my active work within the membership promoting the BCCD across the region and the globe for the benefit of UK business, the membership and their associates.

As a Global Leader, I have worked around the world within and for Boards in 40 countries, including the UK.
As a Strategic Advisor, I guide leaders and brands on their growth strategies, bridging the UK, the region, and the world from Dubai.
I serve as a Coach and Mentor to entrepreneurs and leaders, from start-ups to Boardrooms.
My experience as a Business Growth Advocate spans businesses in growth, transformation, or turnaround modes.
I am a Collaborator, strong individually but even more powerful in collaboration, altruistic in sharing and developing ideas.
As an Innovative Thinker, my coaching methodology challenges limits beyond perceived levels of actualisation.
A Community Builder at heart, I bring people and brands together.
On a personal note, I am a proud Father and Friend. My daughters work in Dubai, one as a teacher and the other as a PR manager. I am a friend to all.

I’ve worked hard over the last four years as a Administrative Board member to make a difference. At this election, the membership now have a choice who they would like as their Vice Chair, supporting Andrew Mortimer for the next two years. This is an important role, and should be your choice. Important to continue to shape the future evolution of one of the best Chambers in the World. Global eyes are on Dubai, and this is the only place where British Business in Dubai is really looked after. We have one of the most incredible business teams, an active board and the biggest opportunity for British business.
If I am elected I will work hard within our Board, the City and the Membership to ensure that British Business is in the best hands possible
